Bangkok, 22 October 2026 – Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global sustainable chemical company, presented the RECO Collective 2026 Final Show at NEXTOPIA, Siam Paragon, unveiling three distinctive Thai fashion collections made with fabrics developed from its deja™ recycled polyester yarns. The collections demonstrate how collaboration across the value chain can connect material innovation with creative expression and new business opportunities.
Under the theme “THE NEXT ORIGINAL,” the 12th edition of RECO explores how materials that have already served a purpose can take on a new identity through original design. CHANA, KH EDITIONS and APPEAL Summerwear each bring their own perspective to recycled polyester, transforming a shared starting material into collections with individual character, functionality and consumer appeal.
Indorama Ventures’ deja™ yarns are made from post-consumer PET bottles, giving used materials a new life as a resource for textile production. RECO Collective makes their potential tangible, enabling designers to explore how recycled materials can become part of their collections and longer-term business development.
Connecting the Value Chain, from Recycled Yarns to Retail
RECO Collective brings together the expertise needed to turn recycled materials into finished fashion products. As official partners of the initiative, Indorama Ventures contributes its deja™ yarn material and recycling expertise, while Bulliontex transforms the yarns into fabrics and provides technical guidance to help designers understand their properties and suitability for different applications. Epson adds digital textile printing capabilities, enabling each brand to express its identity through distinctive colors and patterns.
The collaboration extends beyond the runway through retail partners NEXTOPIA and ECOTOPIA, creating opportunities for the collections to reach consumers and for participating brands to gain market exposure.
Supporting this process, the RECO Incubation Lab connects emerging designers with experienced mentors from the fashion industry. Through knowledge sharing and practical guidance, the program helps participants develop their concepts into products that balance aesthetics, functionality and market relevance. Its ambition extends beyond a single collection: designers are encouraged to apply what they learn to building brands that integrate sustainability into their design choices, business practices and communication with consumers.
Three Brands. Three Originals. One Material Reimagined.
This year’s three participating brands each bring a distinct creative vision to fabrics made from deja™ recycled yarns, giving used materials a new identity through collections inspired by architecture, street culture and summer living.
CHANA – THE MIRAGED SYMMETRY
Chanajit Hundat, founder of CHANA, draws inspiration from the contrasting landscapes of the Saudi Arabian desert. The collection combines the fluid movement of sand dunes with the sharp symmetry of mirrored architecture, including the Maraya Concert Hall, creating a contemporary dialogue between organic forms and structured design.
KH EDITIONS – HIGHWAY LEGACY
Naphat Tansuwan and Panisara Maneerat bring a bold energy to Thai-inspired streetwear. Guided by the brand’s “Kick it to the Highway” ethos, the collection draws on the open road and Thai street culture, translating these influences into recycled polyester pieces with a playful, unconventional attitude.
APPEAL Summerwear – BEYOND THE BLUE
Thanawan and Kansiri Chanttasahawat extend the spirit of summer beyond the shoreline. Wave-inspired textures, relaxed silhouettes and vibrant tones combine movement and comfort, creating versatile pieces that transition from holidays to everyday life.
Mrs. Aradhana Lohia Sharma, Vice President of Finance and Fibers at Indorama Ventures, said: “A material’s past can inspire its next beginning. Through ‘The Next Original,’ our designers show how used materials can take on a new identity through creativity. RECO Collective brings together the knowledge, mentorship and industry connections to turn those ideas into products that reach consumers. We hope the experience stays with designers beyond this collection, giving them the confidence to build brands that embrace sustainability and inspire others. Together with our partners, we are driving sustainable growth and advancing circularity to create lasting value for people and the planet.”
Launched in 2011 as the RECO Young Designer Competition, RECO has engaged more than 1,000 designers across 12 editions. It has since evolved into RECO Collective, a platform connecting designers, material specialists, industry mentors and retail partners. By supporting both creative development and commercial opportunities, the program aims to encourage wider adoption of recycled materials and help Thai designers and entrepreneurs contribute to a more circular economy.
