The Indovinya team in India strengthened community safety through the “Clear Vision, Safer Roads” initiative, focused on improving driver well-being and road safety.

Held on April 15–16 at two major depots in Bharuch and City Centre, the initiative provided free eye check-ups and eyeglasses to public transport drivers from the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) who play a critical role in safely transporting thousands of commuters every day. By bringing qualified optometrists directly to the depots, the program made eye care easily accessible without disrupting drivers’ work schedules.

A total of 457 drivers were screened, of whom 359 were found to have undiagnosed or uncorrected vision issues and were provided with corrective glasses on the spot. By improving vision health, the initiative helped reduce accident risk and support safer roads for drivers, passengers, and the wider community.

This initiative reflects Indovinya’s commitment to integrating community care with safety and sustainability, addressing real needs while creating positive, lasting impact for local communities.
