Siam Piwat, together with Indorama Ventures, organized a special activity on the occasion of Global Recycling Day under the concept “Co-create for a Better World” at NEXTOPIA, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon, inviting everyone to be part of driving society toward a sustainable future through the power of recycling, innovation, and creativity.
As a developer of a world-class experiential platform, Siam Piwat aims to create a space for co-creation that opens opportunities for all sectors, including businesses, communities, and consumers, to participate in driving sustainability. NEXTOPIA is designed as a community of inspiration and action that connects people, creativity, and innovation to jointly create a better future and a more livable world.
This collaboration with Indorama Ventures reflects the integration of the power of a global industry leader and a creative platform to elevate plastic waste management into a tangible circular economy. Four PET bottle compression bins have been installed within NEXTOPIA as a central point for collecting PET bottles from customers and partners before entering a complete recycling process. Over a period of 3 months, from December 2025 to February 2026, after the opening of NEXTOPIA, a total of 123 kilograms of used PET bottles were collected and will be sent into the recycling process at Indorama Ventures’ facility in Nakhon Pathom, reflecting efficient resource utilization and resource circulation in accordance with the circular economy.
At the Global Recycling Day event, participants will take part in creative activities that connect sustainability concepts with lifestyle through a DIY recycled tote bag painting activity made from PET fibers, in collaboration with Indorama Ventures and oGGA idea. This provides an opportunity for participants to learn proper waste separation, design their own tote bags, and take them home as a special souvenir. Interested participants can easily join the activity by bringing 3 used PET bottles to exchange for participation on 18 March 2026 at NEXTOPIA, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon. In addition, the first 5 participants who bring 20 used PET bottles will receive 1 free foldable tote bag.
In addition, the event also features an exhibition of recycling innovations that reflect the transformation of PET bottles into contemporary lifestyle products such as furniture, home décor, and apparel, demonstrating the potential of design that integrates sustainability with creativity effectively. To date, Indorama Ventures has helped bring more than 160 billion used PET bottles back into the recycling process worldwide, reinforcing its commitment to driving the circular economy and creating new value for resources.
