Melt-blown nonwovens are commonly used to enhance filtration efficiency and improve barrier performance. Traditionally made from polypropylene, these materials lack thermal stability at higher temperatures. By combining our PET polymerization capabilities with our expertise in spun-melt nonwovens, we have engineered a patent-pending PET polymer suitable for producing melt-blown nonwovens. This advancement enables the production of PET-based spunbond melt-blown nonwovens that are compatible with conventional PET recycling schemes, supporting greater recyclability and sustainability in nonwoven applications.
